Per unit sales information is based on a report printed in the October, 2004 issue of Franchise Times and is calculated by dividing the reported worldwide sales from all units open at any time during the year by reported total units at year end for each company. The calculation produces approximate per unit sales figures, including international units, which may differ.

We do not know what information was supplied by any other company to Franchise Times. Information probably is based on data reported from franchisees. Neither we nor Franchise Times can guarantee the accuracy of data reported by any company or the underlying data. Reporting periods may also be different. You must research other companies' earnings to obtain a more accurate comparison. Carstar was not included in the review as it concentrates on store conversions and permits individual identification to be incorporated with its brand name.

Under the Earning Claims Section of the current MAACO UFOC, during the fiscal year November 1, 2003 through October 31, 2004, the average gross receipts of a United States MAACO Center that reported 50+ weeks of gross receipts was $844,239.00 based solely on underlying data reported by franchisees. 44.7% of the United States MAACO Centers that reported attained or surpassed this gross receipts level. Additionally, 27.9% of the MAACO Centers that reported attained gross receipts of $1,000,000.00 or more and 88.3% attained gross receipts of over $500,000.00. The average computed from the information MAACO provided to Franchise Times used Center count at fiscal year end and total worldwide system volume, explaining the difference from the MAACO UFOC information.
